Your details, and what we do with them
This campaign is run by residents of High Wycombe. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to make the case for a Town Council. This notice explains what we hold and why.
What we collect
When you add your name, we collect your name, email address, postcode, your preferences (whether you’ll sign the formal petition and whether you can volunteer), and any optional message you choose to leave.
Why we collect it
We use your details to count and demonstrate local support, to confirm that supporters live in the relevant area (via postcode), to keep you updated on the campaign, and to invite you to sign the statutory petition when it launches. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form.
How it’s stored and shared
Your information is stored securely with our data processor (Supabase) and is never sold. We do not share your personal details with third parties, including Buckinghamshire Council, except where we are legally required to. When the formal petition is submitted, only the information the law requires — and only from people who have agreed to sign it — would be included.
Analytics
We use privacy-conscious analytics (PostHog, EU-hosted) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. This does not identify you personally.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time, and you can withdraw your consent. To do so, or for any privacy question, contact the campaign and we’ll act within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
